We are delighted to announce that Team Stokes won this prestigious and unique-to-Wales award, from an awards programme that recognises excellence in the legal and associated sectors in Wales.
Our team were praised for being ‘trailblazers’ in case management and for consistently delivering excellent service provision to the legal sector in Wales and to support the operations of law firms.
Anne-Louise Ferguson, Former Director of NWSSP Legal & Risk Services – one of the category judges – said our ‘inspired leadership and passion’ secured our place as this year’s winner. She added that Stokes:
“…epitomises what it means to be a collaborative, forward looking team, led by an inspirational trailblazer – truly a Welsh success story.”

Rhiannon Stokes, Clinical Director, Stokes Case Management, said:
“This award means so much to the team as it identifies us as adding value to law firms as well as offering excellence in our case management support. We pride ourselves on being collaborative and creative so to be recognised by the judges for this is priceless.
“This year has seen us all work so hard, in challenging environments, with all our case managers putting our clients’ needs, mental and physical wellbeing and health first. We have and continue to grow during the pandemic, allowing us to extend our expertise and support to more vulnerable individuals, lawyers and deputies across Wales and England. We’re incredible proud of every single member of our team for their proactiveness and creative approach, especially during this time, and would like to pass our thanks on to our clients and referring legal professionals who have supported us since we launched in 2015.”
The award winners were announced via a live-streamed hybrid event hosted by the Wales Legal Awards 2020 on the 11 September. The judges included Presidents of the regional law societies in Wales, John Hyde, Deputy News Editor at The Law Gazette and Thomson Reuters, amongst others.
The Awards ceremony was presented by award Co-Founders Charlotte Leyshon, Founder of Lux Family Law and Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE from a studio, while the judges dialled in remotely and the Finalists joined from a Zoom room. The ceremony was then live-streamed via Vimeo.
Stokes Case Management came up against some serious competition, as other finalists in the Service Professionals Team of the Year category ranged from national wealth management advisors to compliance and recruitment consultants and a legal education and training specialist.
Charlotte Leyshon said: “Our awards ethos – to celebrate excellence and support the legal sector in Wales – has been even more important during the last six months. During the judging process we have seen the outstanding commitment, creativity and true grit on display from legal teams across Wales to support their clients during these most extraordinary of times.”
Rhiannon added:
“To win this award, in Wales, has given everyone at Stokes such a boost in these challenging times. Our thanks also go to the Wales legal Awards 2020 judges for recognising us in this way.”
