Nikki Yapp

Case Manager Rehab Assistant

Nikki has over 10 years of experience of working with children and young people, 7 of those years were from in an education environment teaching and mentoring children at The Military Preparation School; delivering vocational qualifications, essential skills, physical training and citizenship lessons to students with mixed abilities and needs. 

Nikki then moved over to become a team leader at a special education school and residential home for young people. She worked with youngsters with high complex needs such as, autism, ADHD, developmental trauma and abuse. Nikki provided them with a safe and nurturing environment by being a positive role model and used a relational approach with staff and young people.  

Nikki has extensive experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, having previously worked with – psychiatrists, psychologists, therapy staff, local authorities, medical services, mental health services, police, child protection and within the education sector. Nikki is very much a team player, very enthusiastic and passionate about working with people of all abilities, to help strive to achieve their goals and positive outcomes.  

Nikki is very passionate about working with families, having a person-centred approach and understands the importance of creating positive relationships. 

Nikki also has 13 years’ experience in the Armed Forces which has given her a broad range of experiences of working in a team, excellent communication and written skills, being able to thrive under pressure and to be able to deliver output a high level. All of which are transferable skills that can be utilised within Case Management.  

 

Qualifications: 

Level 3 in Health & Social Care 

Level 4 Safeguarding 

Level 1 in Dyadic Developmental Practice
